Last week sixth graders participated in a science project creating a robot. After reading a news story about the Fukushima disaster, they had to create a robot to help clean up the affected area and remove all the toxic parts. #ExperienceWCS
It’s been a busy month in 2nd grade! We had fun visiting the Lilly Center at Grace College in March. Students learned about erosion, animal adaptations, and types of water pollution. We then stayed at Grace College to watch an NCCAA tournament game. The students loved it! We began April by learning about the solar eclipse and then viewed it with our cool eclipse glasses. Finally, the students enjoyed a STEM activity on the WILL bus. They learned about animal habitats and adaptations by working in groups to create animal habitats out of Legos. #ExperienceWCS

Yesterday and today the Warsaw Fire Department stopped by to teach the kids the importance of fire detectors and what to do in case of a fire emergency. Thank you to the great firemen who came to help the kids learn! #experienceWCS
