We're excited to welcome Steven Boyer back to WCS. At tonight's December combined Board Meeting, the board approved him as the next Director of Human Resources. With nearly two decades of experience as a teacher, principal and district leader, Steven brings a wealth of knowledge and a commitment to supporting the Warsaw Schools’ mission.
Steven began his career in education after graduating from Manchester University in 2006 with a Bachelor of Science in English Education. He spent six years teaching 8th grade English/Language Arts before transitioning into administration. Over the years, he served as an assistant principal, elementary principal at multiple schools—including Eisenhower Elementary—Chief Human Resource Officer for Concord Community Schools and most recently, Business Manager for Plymouth Community School Corporation. His experience has equipped him with a deep understanding of both instructional leadership and the operational needs of a school district.
“Warsaw has always been special to my family and I,” Steven shared. “I’m honored to return and contribute to the incredible work being done here. My focus will be on building strong relationships with stakeholders, aligning HR goals with academic priorities and to continue attracting exceptional talent.”
Steven and his wife, Jill—a Kindergarten Teacher at Eisenhower Elementary—are proud members of the Warsaw community. Together, they have three children: Hudson (6th grade), Weston (5th grade), and Lincoln (3rd grade), all students at Eisenhower Elementary.
Outside of work, Steven enjoys spending time with his family, going on dates with his wife, playing video games with his sons or cheering them on in their activities, along with watching Notre Dame football games.
Superintendent Dr. David Hoffert stated, “We are excited to welcome Steven back to Warsaw Community Schools. His experiences as a teacher, principal and Human Resources Director will be a huge asset to our schools and community. His ability to understand the local employment needs as a school system will be critical to the ongoing recruitment and retainment inside of Warsaw Community Schools.”
Steven is eager to begin his role and further the district’s mission to inspire and equip all students. “My personal and professional values align with Warsaw Schools’. Together, we will continue to foster a culture where staff feel valued, inspired and equipped to positively impact our students’ lives.”
