Lakeview Middle School is celebrating Pi Day in a BIG way! Pi Day is an annual celebration of the mathematical constant π (pi). Pi Day is observed on March 14 (3/14 in the month/day format) since 3, 1, and 4 are the first three significant figures of π.
Thanks go out to all who organized the event to engage students in learning through Pi Day activities throughout the building. Teachers and students wore custom-made pi shirts and pi pencils were given to every student. There were delicious donuts for every student to calculate circumference and area using pi. To wrap up on this gorgeous day, students were invited outside to understand pi through the practical application of a hula-hoop!
