Lakeview 7th grade student Dalton Robbins’ grandfather, US Army veteran John Klotz, will be on the 48th Northeast Indiana Honor Flight to Washington D.C. on September 18th. Mrs. Studebaker’s English students wrote letters of gratitude to Mr. Klotz for his service to our nation.
Mr. Klotz will receive the letters upon his return to the 122nd Fighter Wing Air National Guard Base at the conclusion of his Honor Flight.
We would like to extend heartfelt thanks to Mrs. Studebaker for organizing such a meaningful project with her English students. The letters of gratitude they wrote to US Army veteran John Klotz, are a beautiful gesture of appreciation for his service. It’s truly special that Mr. Klotz will receive these letters upon his return in just a few weeks.
This project not only honors a veteran, but also instills in our students the importance of recognizing and appreciating the sacrifices made by those who served our nation. We are grateful to have teachers at Lakeview who inspire students!
