WARSAW, IN - Warsaw Community Schools (WCS) celebrated the 2024-25 Tiger Ambassadors during a special graduation ceremony held at the April Board of Trustees regular board meeting. These 15 community members completed a year-long journey designed to deepen their understanding of Warsaw Schools in order to have the knowledge to serve as ongoing ambassadors for WCS.
Throughout the year, Tiger Ambassadors participated in five interactive Lunch 'n Learn sessions, each providing an inside look at key areas of WCS operations:
All Things WCS: Ambassadors kicked off the year by learning about Warsaw Schools’ mission, organizational structure, transportation, food service and athletic programs.
Principal Shadowing: Participants walked alongside school leaders to experience firsthand the daily routines, challenges and celebrations of being a building principal.
30,000 Foot View: A big-picture session explored facility planning, stewardship maintenance, safety and security and strategic leadership practices at the board level.
Finance 101: Ambassadors gained insight into how public schools are funded, understanding state and local funding sources and the budgeting process that supports WCS programs.
Curriculum: The final session focused on how Warsaw Community Schools adopts and sustains a guaranteed, viable curriculum, highlighting parent and community involvement in the curriculum council process.
Our Tiger Ambassador graduates will continue to serve as long-term ambassadors for Warsaw Schools, helping to advocate and foster stronger connections between WCS and the community.
